Bipolar disorder:
Bipolar disorder is a mental illness, which can be observed
by the extreme change in the mood from high to low called mania & low to
high called depression.
Sometimes people feel both at the same time, which is quite difficult to
measure the exact disorder in the respective human being.
Common causes of Bipolar disorder:
1.
Hormonal imbalance
Sometimes hormonal imbalance causes extreme changes in
someone’s behavior & mood.
2.
Environmental factors
Drug abuse, mental stress like significant loss,
career stress may affect a person’s activity leading into depression.
Some general factors like
being easily distracted, higher than usual frequency of talking, reduced sleep,
high or irritated mood etc
The difference between bipolar & depressive
disorder can be measured as depression disorder is unipolar whereas bipolar
disorder is “mania”.
You may feel frustrated by talking with a person
having bipolar disorder with whom you cannot argue on a specific topic. Staying
away from intense conversation with the affected person is highly recommended
by professionals.
There is no specific blood test or brain scan to diagnose
bipolar disorder, but doctors may choose some thyroid function test or urine
analysis, which determines whether other factors could be causing your
symptoms.
